Self-Paced Learning

Through our web-based training (WBT) program, members receive basic training on setting up and using the ZIMS application in your institutions. WBT is pre-recorded and self-paced.
 
All members who begin the ZIMS deployment process are given 10 free seats of web-based training. Members who wish to train more staff, may buy additional WBT sessions for US$99/session.

ZIMS deployment training exercises
Via web-based training (WBT), your staff can practice skills by following "training scenarios." This independent study of the ZIMS application functionality is provided on a continual basis to the users of WBT.

Question & Answer Sessions and Release Updates
In addition to the WBT opportunities providing as a part of ZIMS deployment, ISIS staff schedules time with each new release of the ZIMS application to provide live webinars covering the new features and answer questions you might have.

Regional Event Training

ISIS schedules ZIMS training events throughout the year, including the annual ZIMS Workshops this year taking place immediately before the AZA and EAZA annual conferences in Kansas City (Sept. 7th) and Edinburgh (Sept. 23rd).  More details: ZIMS Workshops

Premium Online Training

ISIS provides online training lead by professional instructors on advanced topics. Each session will last approximately two (2) hours and will provide specific instructions on the more detailed aspects of the ZIMS application.
 
Instruction is conducted in English.
 
These trainings are available for the cost US$ 99 per course per attendee.

Premium On-Site Training
(requires 1-2 months of preparation time)
 
If an in-person training event is preferred, ISIS can arrange for a two-day training at your institution.
 
Onsite Training Events are provided for US$ 6,000 for up to 20 participants.
 
Included in this price, ISIS provides:
  • Professional staffing supporting the number of expected attendees
  • Travel for ISIS staff -- two (2) days of travel and two (2) event days (if additional days are required, host may be asked to help offset the cost)
  • Access to the ZIMS training database for your institution for one (1) month after event
  • Access to ISIS Training Curriculum and Training Scenarios
NOT included in price above, host institution must arrange:
  • All on-site logistics
  • Access to highspeed Internet (equal to or greater than 2Mbps) for all participants (required)
  • PC access for all participants (laptop or desktop capable of Internet access with a current web browser)
  • Event space rental and refreshments for all participants (if required)
  • Accommodations for ISIS staff
  • If translation is required, these services should be provided by the institution hosting the event for the duration of the two days of training

Personalized Online Training

ISIS understands that not all institutions are the same and that sometimes you require more direct assistance with implementing the ZIMS application into your existing processes. This is why we are proud to offer Personalized Online Training! 
 
Our entire staff will work together to understand your goals and will then present to you a customized training that addresses your individual needs. We keep the cost of this type of service as low as possible, however, as this service is variable from one institution to the next pricing is available after initial consultation. 
 
Sessions are delivered via cost-effective online meetings.
